J. David Filman

Born and raised in Burlington, Ontario, David’s lifelong interest in trains has led him to a career on the railway. Started nearly forty years ago as a Telegraph Operator, he is now a Locomotive Engineer, leading a regular crew on VIA Rail’s Toronto/Montreal assignments.

Ken Gibson is a sales consultant in his "real job", but a photographer/videographer and writer at heart. He has a graduate degree from University of New Brunswick and currently resides in Moncton, NB. He contributes to local newspapers from time to time.

James Hanington

Kai Liu is the Chief of Police in Gananoque, Ontario, with many “firsts” - the first police chief of Chinese heritage in Eastern Canada, the first Asian officer on the Ottawa Police Force, and the first AsiaNetwork Asian of the Year Award recipient.

Moved to Canada at 14, the “Shanghai Girl” obtained a business degree from the University of Ottawa in middle 2000. She is now working in Beijing in the education field. A model, a singer, and a dreamer, she continues her pursuit between the East and West.

Zoë Zeng is a second-year law undergraduate at McGill University. Raised in both China and Canada, she learns to absorb and apply the best from both cultures in her daily life.

JIAN ZHONG

Jian Zhong is an award winning artist and art professor. Worked as an editor of Art Trends, as well as a researcher and artist with the Chinese Artists Association in China for 18 years, Zhong immigrated to Canada in early 2000, with art exhibitions in China and North America.
